PERSPEKTIVISCH GESEHEN, SPAGHETTIEIS – PERFORMANCE WITH INGA KRÜGER

The conversion of the Emscher into a clean and natural river will be completed with the new estuary delta into the Rhine, which is currently being built in Dinslaken.
The artist Inga Krüger took this as an opportunity to deal with the artificiality of this landscape in her performance »Perspektivisch gesehen, Spaghettieis«.
The ice cream in the form of a pasta dish became an image for overformed nature and shaped time.
Following the performance, we walked together along the length of such a spaghetti ice cream around the new mouth of the Emscher.
Organiser is Urbane Künste Ruhr.

APPROACH
From Duisburg Hbf and Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord there is the possibility of a guided journey by bike. Meeting point for the bike tour: 1 PM at the Duisburg main station, forecourt, exit city centre or alternatively at 1:30 PM at »Neustadt« in the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord.
