The Festival

We are celebrating a big summer festival at various locations along the Emscherkunstweg!
In the BernePark (Bottrop), at Haus Ripshorst (Oberhausen) and at Hof Emscher-Auen (Castrop-Rauxel), there will be many interesting activities for the whole family with workshops, craft activities, workshop courses, face painting for children, drumming lessons, juggling, magic, talks on art in public spaces.
Free shuttle buses will run between Bottrop and Castrop-Rauxel, and guided bike tours to the artworks in the surrounding area will also be offered at BernePark and Hof Emscher-Auen.
In the former church of St. Boniface (Gelsenkirchen), interested people can visit the »Healing Complex« by artist Irena Haiduk and make bread and baking moulds in another workshop with artist Samuel Treindl.
Finally, there will be a big concert by the band Nasssau in BernePark from 8 pm.
The programme is free of charge, organised by the Emschergenossenschaft at BernePark and Hof Emscher-Auen, the Regionalverband Ruhr at Haus Ripshorst and Urbane Künste Ruhr in Gelsenkirchen.
